Is it Really Mine?First, I need to begin by saying that owning this fanlisting is an absolute dream come true for me (a dream I scarcely ever hoped to dream since the thought of owning the shoujo fanlisting seemed like such an impossible dream to me). I think pretty much anyone who knows me well (or even in passing) is aware of my massive and obsessive love for shoujo. I have never met a shoujo series I didn't like, be them so cute your teeth hurt, so funny your sides burst, so sweet you are tempted to swoon, or so smutty you can't help blushing. Shoujo and I have a long and continuious relationship. The vast majority of my very large anime and manga library is shoujo series. Always being a hopeless romantic who seeks romance in anything I read or watch, my love with this genre was probably inevitable.I have worked very hard on this fanlisting and will continue to work hard on it into the far reaching future. I know that a lot of people had hoped to be approved for this fanlisting. The staffers that took part in the decision (which was pretty much all of them), did not have an easy job. I know if they could, they would have given it to more than one person because of how wonderful so many of the applicants were. I hope that I have made both them and the people who were rejected for this subject proud with my efforts. What's in a Name?As soon as I knew I had been approved for this fanlisting I immediately began thinking of a domain name. I knew the fanlisting was so special it needed its own special domain. I enlisted the help of both Danielle and Lenneth to come up with a domain name for this fanlisting. We figured if the three of us together could not come up with a suitable name, it could not be done (I consider them high authorities on shoujo). It proved more difficult than we first thought to come up with a name that was fitting, pretty, and available. I remembered the term for first love in Japanese, but it of course was not available. Thanks to Lenneth and her friend's knowledge of Japanese we were able to come up with Itoshii Hatsukoi.
Itoshii Hatsukoi translates to beloved first love (or my most precious/most important first love). I thought that was incredibly beautiful and fitting. To quote Janice when I told her about the domain, it's very 'pink and you.' :)
